Application & Program FAQs

We accept applications through our short pre-screening form. After review, we will schedule a brief in-person interview to get to know you better, followed by a more formal application where we will request complete documentation.

We only accept families residing in Jefferson or Denver County who have school-aged children in their household and currently hold a valid work permit.

We are currently not accepting new applicants. However, we anticipate opening additional spots in 2025. Please check our website for updates.

By joining the Host Family Cohort Program at The Bridge Church at Bear Creek, my family agrees to complete at least six meetings over a three-month period with our assigned host family, begin English classes within three months, ensure that anyone holding a valid work permit secures at least 40 hours of legal employment per week by the end of the program, and for anyone without a work permit, commit to relevant career training. We will actively participate in a community group, create a stable housing plan within three months, and meet with our mentoring team before receiving any financial assistance.

Our team offers job-readiness training, resume-building workshops, and connections to local employers. We also collaborate with housing partners for affordable lodging options and facilitate community-building events to help you settle into your new environment.

The full program runs for 12 weeks, with ongoing support and check-ins afterward to help you maintain your progress once you’ve completed the program.
